Glen Ellyn, IL—Anima- Young Singers of Greater Chicago (formerly the Glen Ellyn Children’s Chorus) is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in the 2014-2015 Season, and is kicking off the Anniversary by taking their energy, passion, and excitement to their own continent on tour! The chorus will be on tour June 27-July 10, 2014 throughout British Columbia and Alaska and will be performing concerts with a mix of works by American and Canadian composers, as well as classical repertoire. Admission by donation, with all proceeds going to St. Mary’s Kerrisdale.
Composers Stephen Hatfield and Imant Raminsh will be working with the choirs from 1:30-4:30. Children’s Choir directors are invited to observe these workshops.
