Concert tonight is ON

We’ve had our people over at the church to check out conditions at 1pm today. The main roads are clear. Another concert by Amabilis Singers is going on in the church right now!

The side streets are snow covered. The parking lot across the street from the church has been cleared. The side street parking is challenging because of snow buildup, so leave yourself extra time and wear your snow boots or shoes with good treads. Don’t be in a hurry- leave yourself lots of time to walk and drive slowly and safely. We are recommending carpools.

Drop off is available at the front of the church, heading West on 13th, only.

Call times for singers is as follows:

Youth Choir: 4:30 (enter quietly by the side door as another concert may still be going on)

Children’s Choir: 6:00

DeCoro: 6:15

Concert starts at 7:30

In the event that the conditions seem to be getting worse while we are there, we will shorten the performance.

Dec 10th CONCERT UPDATE at 12:40am

We are all “Seeing Amid the Winter Snow” a bit more than we’d actually hoped!

At this time, the Youth Choir’s morning rehearsal in the church is cancelled. We are still planning to go ahead with the concert at 7:30pm, with the hope that the snow plows will have had a chance to clear the roads for us all.

Please check back here at 2pm to confirm whether the concert is going ahead as planned.

Call times for singers:

Youth Choir 4:30pm

Children’s Choir 6:00pm

DeCoro 6:15pm

Dress Rehearsal is ON Thursday (but we will watch weather)

DRESS REHEARSAL is ON at Evergreen Cultural Centre Thursday.

We’ve read and considered the snowstorm warnings for Thursday night, but we are hoping to get all of our important rehearsing done before the snow begins to fall later on. Please leave yourself extra time to get to rehearsal, or consider taking the new Evergreen extension, right to the stage door of Evergreen Cultural Centre.

We will continue to monitor and evaluate the weather and conditions as Thursday progresses, and will try our best to continue dress rehearsals without putting singers at risk of getting caught in the storm.

Watch this space on our homepage for weather related rehearsal updates.

Stay warm out there!
