Boys’ Day & Girls' Day Singing Workshops
Boys and girls have unique vocal qualities, especially at that tricky middle school age, and we a CSMA know it. That’s why at the beginning of each calendar year, CSMA, in cooperation with School District 43 (Coquitlam) music teachers and the Evergreen Cultural Centre, presents a day-long singing workshop focusing on each gender in grades three through eight (treble voices). Each year a Boys’ Day Singing Workshop and Girls’ Day Singing Workshop is offered featuring guest clinicians, an evening performance with participants singing solo and along with guest performers and even a mid-day swim break across the street at Coquitlam’s Aquatic Centre.
This year will present Boys’ Day Singing Workshop on Friday, January 30th, 2009 and Girls’ Day Singing Workshop on Friday, February 20th, 2009. Workshops take place at Evergreen Cultural Centre, 1205 Pinetree Way, Coquitlam. Registration and Waiver Forms are available January 5th, 2009, at most school offices or from your music teacher or by calling CSMA office at 604-469-5973. CSMA office email: info@coastalsoundmusic.com
Space is limited; maximum registration for workshops is 100 children and singers are accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration forms will be available beginning January 5th, 2009.
