Boychoir

This is an entry level for boys with unchanged voices. A “team” atmosphere and repertoire particular to boys’ interests as well as choral classics provide the milieu for teaching the basics of vocal production and musicianship.

The Boychoir has a unique identity: it is unlike any other activity for boys in our community. The Boychoir takes advantage of many extra performance opportunities during a term. The more experienced boys within this group can expect to be challenged with additional ensemble and solo opportunities and advanced students may be asked to attend the Children’s Concert Choir rehearsals on Thursdays starting in May/June.

First Session Saturday, September 8th, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM followed by regular weekly rehearsals held on Tuesdays beginning September 11th from 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM at Ecole des Pionniers (francophone school), 3550 Wellington Street, Port Coquitlam.   Weekly rehearsals continue through June 2008. This level performs publically in two annual CSMA family of choirs concerts as well as selected community events.
