Girlchoir

This is the final level of preparation for girls before joining the CSMA concert/touring choirs. Most Girlchoir students have participated in earlier CSMA training levels, although some new students with previous formal music training or strong musicality may be placed directly in the Girlchoir.

Students at this level are beginning to read music with considerable confidence, sing in multi-part harmony, and demonstrate disciplined stage performance skills. The commitment required of Girlchoir singers is much higher than for other CSMA training-level choirs.

First session Saturday, September 8th, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM Followed by regular weekly rehearsals held on Tuesdays beginning September 18th from 5;00 PM – 6:30 PM at Ecole des Pionniers (francophone school), 3550 Wellington Street, Port Coquitlam. Weekly rehearsals continue through June 2008. This level performs publically in two annual CSMA family of choirs concerts as well as selected community events.
