The Mission of the Coastal Sound Children’s Choir is
“to perform and entertain to the best of our musical ability,
while encouraging peace, multiculturalism, and the joy of music,
so that the world will be a better place.”

The Coastal Sound Children’s Choir traveled to China as “singing ambassadors” from British Columbia, Canada. The choir were hosted as official guests by the City of Tanggu, Tainjan Province. The choir was representing the City of Port Moody, BC, Tanggu’s “Canadian Friendship City”. The performance repertoire included songs and stories about British Columbia to help Chinese audiences, and in particular, Chinese children, to learn more about Canadians.
